9X12 plein air transparent watercolor on Arches 120 pound cold press paper
This little cabin was tucked away in a busy intersection of Broadway and Isabella right within the Mt. Pleasant city limits. I painted it parked at the plaza across the street in 2009. I remember thinking at the time how the city has encroached on what used to be a farm until this is all that is left.
I may have given it a more “rural” feel but it is fairly accurate except for omitting a few foreground trees. I made the space seem a bit more open than it was.
Now this cabin is gone and the property looks like any other busy intersection corner. There is a story behind the vanished cabin. My hope is someone reading this will know and share before the story, like the cabin, is gone completely.
