This painting, Toivola Barn, is part of a Finnish farm my sister had rented this Finnish in Michigan’s Copper Country. The landlord often visited on weekends because he missed his old home so much. His wife didn’t want to live there anymore.
My sister said she often heard wolves howling and one evening saw one sitting on the edge of the woods depicted in this painting, seemingly trying to lure her shepherds to it.
