As is my habit when it is too cold to paint outside, I was driving dirt roads and the contrast of this muddy trail and snow caught my attention. As I was painting from my car, a truck stopped and a hunter got out and asked if I was okay (people wondering what I’m doing while painting from my car is very common). He was pleased to see that I was painting. He got his hunting gear and proceeded down this trail through the field.
